Audience:
This interactive workshop is suitable for anyone who works with children/young people and their families.
Aim:
To enable those working with children and young people to gain a greater understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and to integrate children’s rights into every aspect of decision making, policy and practice.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the UNCRC and what it means for children/ young people and adults in Jersey.
- Develop an understanding of the legislation in Jersey.
- Recognise the 5 principles of the Children’s Rights Approach.
- Recognise potential barriers.
- Demonstrate an awareness for the positive impact of a Children’s Rights Approach.
Pre-workshop Preparation
Before you attend this course, please read the Children’s Rights Approach guidance.
Please Note: This event is a 2.5-hour face to face session. Please do a Lateral Flow Test before attending.
