Audience
Anyone who would like to learn more about best interest and capacity issues.
Focus Topic
This workshop will focus on the steps that can be taken when a professional has concerns about a vulnerable adult or a child given a relative’s approach to health and welfare decision making.
Aim
- We will discuss how to try and address differences of opinion and when practitioners need to escalate a concern.
- The training will also look at what to do when dealing with those who have Powers of Attorney and Delegates appointed under the Capacity and Self-Determination Law 2016.
Presenter
This briefing is led by Nadya Wolferstan.
Nadya is a health and social care lawyer who works with the Law Officers’ Department. She previously worked as a Partner in a UK firm and has 25 years’ experience of advising health and social care professionals in relation to best interests and capacity issues.
