Audience

This is suitable for anyone who works directly with children and adults at risk to provide common core skills and knowledge. It would suit professionals who are required to record information about children and adults at risk. This is an essential skill of safeguarding good practice.

Aim

To ensure that those working with children or adults at risk are able to record information effectively and store it safely.

Workbook

Before you attend this course, you must download and complete the workbook which is accessed here. You must bring your finished workbook to the in-person session.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • Explain why effective recording is an essential part of the service provided to children, families and adults at risk.
  • Be able to put the voice of the child or adult at risk first.
  • Know how to use organisational recording documentation, present safeguarding concerns and store documents.
  • Explain the difference between fact, opinion and assumption.
  • Know how to share information appropriately.

Please Note: This event is a 3-hour face to face session and also requires approximately 3 hours of pre-work which must be completed before coming on the session. Please do a Lateral Flow Test before attending.
