💻 Online Workshop: Strengths-Based Practice

Audience
This one day session is designed for Social care practitioners working directly with adults.
Aim
Develop and strengthen strengths-based approaches, reflect on the knowledge, skills and values needed to build collaborative and hopeful relationships with adults drawing on care and support.
In this workshop participants will consider a range of strengths-based questions, and practice holding strengths-based conversations. The workshop will draw on the legislative and policy context of strengths-based working and look at how this can be applied in practice.
Learning Outcomes
- Define strengths-based practice (and explain it to others).
- Understand the links between strengths-based practice, person-centred working, anti-discriminatory practice, and improved outcomes for people.
- Identify the skills, knowledge, and values that underpin strengths-based practice.
- Feel confident in preparing for, and conducting, strengths-based conversations.
- Feel equipped to further embed strengths-based practice in your work.
Please Note: This event is a six hour online workshop delivered through Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you are able to attend the whole workshop. A quiet, undisturbed environment will help you get the most from the session.
