Audience

This one day session is designed for Social care practitioners working directly with adults.

Aim

Develop and strengthen strengths-based approaches, reflect on the knowledge, skills and values needed to build collaborative and hopeful relationships with adults drawing on care and support.

In this workshop participants will consider a range of strengths-based questions, and practice holding strengths-based conversations. The workshop will draw on the legislative and policy context of strengths-based working and look at how this can be applied in practice.

  • Understand the links between strengths-based practice, person-centred working, anti-discriminatory practice, and improved outcomes for people.
  • Identify the skills, knowledge, and values that underpin strengths-based practice.
  • Feel confident in preparing for, and conducting, strengths-based conversations.
  • Feel equipped to further embed strengths-based practice in your work.

Please Note: This event is a six hour online workshop delivered through Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you are able to attend the whole workshop. A quiet, undisturbed environment will help you get the most from the session.
