Capacity and Self-Neglecting Behaviours in Adults

Audience
This workshop is suitable for any professionals who are working with complexity in relation to adults at risk in Jersey.
Aim
To safely explore a range of dilemmas professionals may face when working with Capacity and Self-Neglecting behaviours in adults.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the participants should be able to:
- To identify characteristics of Self-Neglect in line with the Safeguarding Partnership Self-Neglect policy.
- To identify challenges and legal issues in regard to Capacity and Self-Neglecting behaviours.
- To increase legal literacy around Capacity Assessment, Executive Capacity, Fluctuating Capacity and Hoarding.
- To increase understanding of Inherent Jurisdiction.
